Location: SAMRAD DEEP SKY CAMPSITE of Horizon Astronomical Society

Our location is based 3 hours away from Mumbai.

This event aims for deep sky objects which are not generally seen by naked eyes but require not only professional telescopes to see by also expert guidance for understanding them. 

Our events are for all age from school students to working professionals.

• 12:24 PM - Pick up at Kasara station for Samrad village
• 04:30 PM - Check in at deep sky campsite
• 05:00 PM - Exploring the site and evening snacks
• 06:30 PM - Introduction to astronomy, understanding the night sky and the flow of the events overnight
• 07:00 PM - Observation of Saturn and its Ring, Jupiter and its satellites, beautiful clusters, nebulae, binary stars and much more from our large telescopes.
• 08:00 PM - Identification of pole star, constellations, nakshatras and zodiac signs
• 09:00 PM - Dinner break
• 10:30 PM - Astronomy discussions and talks (special topics on astronomy)
• 11:30 PM - Stargazing for deep sky messier objects
• 12:10 AM - Tea Break
• 01:00 AM - Astrophotography and light painting workshop from cellphone camera as well as DSLR. Bringing your Cellphone / DSLR Tripod is necessary if you are interested to learn Astrophotography.
• 02:00 AM to 04:30 AM - Fun games and interactive session and talk with our experts. Participants who want to Rest/Sleep are free to do so during this time
• 04:30 AM - Early morning stargazing when sky has changed & new objects are visible.
• 07:30 AM - Walk to see a famous valley nearby (Optional Activity). 
• 10:00 AM - Packing your bags with memories of a night full of stars.

• Alcohol or smoking or any kind of intoxication is strictly prohibited at our premises. You will be asked to leave for such behavior.
• Weather conditions are not in our hands. In case of cloudy weather or any natural or man-made calamities refund will not be provided. Alternate plans or in-door activities are done in case of sudden climate changes during event.
• Stay will be provided in tent. Allocation of tents will be on 2/3 person sharing basis. If you want 1 tent by yourself, you will have to pay additional INR 500 for the same. Inform organiser 3 days Prior for a private tent.
• If you are interested in wide field astrophotography kindly carry tripod for your cellphone or DSLR.
• We shall not take responsibility for loss of personal belongings and/or Life. By taking this ticket you agree to all terms and conditions.
• We do not Provide any kind of Insurance health or life
• This is not a leisure event/activity, you will be out of your comfort zone. Thus, we requested to be prepared mentally before coming to the Event.
